Its time for another pub crawl!
Our theme is Wig Out! (with mustaches)

When: Friday, February 10th, starting at 8pm

Where: GRR Supporter, Bobby K’s house – 417 SW 2nd Street 32601
Then crawl with us to the following bars: Double Down, Tall Paul’s, Loosey’s Longshot, The Midnight, and The Palomino, where we be joining them for their dance party!

Cost: $15 in advance, $20 at the door.
Pay in advance through your favorite derby girl OR you can Paypal the money to this email: Sponsorships@gainesvillerollerrebels.com
Just be sure to include your name, phone number, and money for Wig Out! Pub Crawl.

Each person is guaranteed 7 drinks (21 and up only)

Update on league structure

Attention GRR fans! Our league is going through a great transition as we have welcomed several new skaters who have passed their skills test over the previous months.

So far this season, GRR has played primarily as the Gainesville Roller Rebels (A-team) and the Millhopper Devils (B-team). For the upcoming Orange and Blue bout, however, we are testing a new model! We are going to be mixing our A-team and B-teams to make two new home teams. While we still have several A-team and B-team bouts to finish up this season, our model for next season will be to have a travel team (the Gainesville Roller Rebel All-Stars) and two equally-matched home teams (the Swamp City Sirens and Millhopper Devils).

GRR is proud to have such a supportive fan base as we keep growing and improving!

Come cheer on your hometown GRRls at the Orange and Blue bout on September 24th! Or, if you happen to be in the Miami area next weekend, GRR’s All-Stars will be taking on the Gold Coast Derby Grrls at the Miami Bank United Center!

Join us as the Gainesville Roller Rebels take on the on the Ft. Myers Derby Girls’ Palm City Punishers, Saturday, August 20th!

Doors open 8:15pm, bout begins 9:00pm

Tickets: $8 in advance, available at Sweet Dreams Ice Cream (3437 W. University Ave), Skate Station Funworks, and Brown Paper Tickets. $12 at the door, and as always 12-and-under get in free! We’ll also have $8 tickets at our booth at the Downtown Union Street Farmers’ Market, Weds. Aug 17th! Purchase a souvenir cup at the Farmers’ Market and get $1 off beer at Skate Station.

Low on cash? The LifeSouth Bloodmobile will be on-site starting at 8pm and first 10 donors get in free!

A fundraiser will be held to benefit Peaceful Paths.

Bring cash or plastic for awesome GRR merchandise like t-shirts, hats, coozies, calendars, and more!

Friday, 7/22: GRR Pub Crawl!

Break out the mustaches and hot pants for GRR’s “Mustaches and Hot Pants” Pub Crawl!

Have a blast and help get GRR to Charlotte, N.C., to kick more derby ass at the same time! Pay just $20 cash at the door of the Palomino and you’re guaranteed at least seven drinks throughout the evening.

The crawl begins at 7 p.m. at Palomino Pool Hall and carries on to five different downtown locales: The Midnight, Tall Paul’s Brew House, Durty Nelly’s Irish Pub, Spin Cycle On Tap and the coal-fired forge studio of GRR member and area sculptor Leslie Tharp. See you there, Gainesville!

Sat., 7/9: “Floor-ida” vs. Atlanta Sake Tuyas

On Saturday, July 9, 9pm, come out to Skate Station to see the Gainesville Roller Rebels take on Atlanta Rollergirls’ Sake Tuyas, with a pre-game and half-time show by The Duppies!

Coming off of a six-bout winning streak, GRR is ready to show Atlanta how things go down here in Florida! This is bound to be an exciting bout as GRR gears up to keep their streak going!

The Roller Rebels will also be hosting The Duppies, a local Gainesville band, at their halftime show. A raffle will also be held to benefit Peaceful Paths, a Gainesville women’s shelter.

Low on cash? Come early to the bout (starting at 8!) and stop by the LifeSouth Bloodmobile: the first 10 on-site blood donors get into the bout free!

More information: The bout will take place at Skate Station Funworks (1311 NW 76th Blvd). Doors open at 8:15 pm and the bout begins at 9 pm. It is best to bring your own chair, but limited table seating will also be available; track-side seating is available for 18-and-up. Concessions, including beer for 21-and-up with ID, will be available inside Skate Station (please note, this is not a BYOB event). Bring along some extra cash or a credit card to get yourself some cool GRR merchandise like buttons, tees, tanks, or our exclusive GRR calendar!
