Life’s a beach… Till you get a skate to the face!

Join GRR as they take on the Beach Brawl Sk8r Dolls at the Alachua County Fairgrounds (2900 NE 39th Ave.) on Saturday, July 11. (You heard right, folks — we snagged a Saturday event just for you!) You won’t want to miss this rematch, as GRR is looking to reclaim victory from a close defeat on Beach Brawl’s home turf back in April.

Doors open at 5:30 and the bout begins at 6:30. BYOB for 21-and-up ONLY — no glass. Bring your own chair, too! (Track-side — aka suicide — floor seating available for 18-and-up.) Concessions and merchandise will be available.

Give your share of blood, too! The LIFESOUTH Bloodmobile will open at 5 p.m. to make sure no donor has to miss a minute of the action inside. BONUS: The first 10 on-site donors will get into the event FREE!

Admission: $8 in advance (ages 13-and-up) at Hyde & Zeke Records (402 NW 10th Ave.) or brownpapertickets.com; $10 day-of at the door; 12-and-under in free.

After the bout, head downtown to BROPHY’S IRISH PUB (60 SW 2nd St.) for the after-party.
