Roller derby position – on the track (and why): Jammer: I like to jam because i love skating … preferably excessive amounts of skating. There is nothing like it and few things I like more.
Roller derby position – off the track (and why): Co-Captain. I enjoy training and the nuances of roller derby strategy. I also get pretty rowdy and perhaps a bit too excited about how amazing everyone is playing and how hard we are working to improve.
How long have you been playing roller derby for GRR? maaaybe about 2 years.
How did you come up with your name and number? My number is from my college ice hockey days. Credit for the name goes to Hershall Stalker.
Do you have any pre- or post-bout rituals? before a bout…coffee, peanut butter, and bananas but not too many bananas. potassium is a real thing people. after a bout…just food and beer, nothing fancy.
What is your favorite thing about playing roller derby for GRR? My team. i love skating with such an amazing motley crew of women. you ladies are BAD ASS and i regularly enjoy your company on and off the track. I also like this winning thing.
What is your most memorable GRR roller derby experience? i’ll go with 50/50.
If you had a theme song, what would it be? OutKast – Bowtie
Aside from roller derby, what are you passionate about? i’m an avid gardener, i love community organizing and social justice is my jam.
What would GRR fans be surprised to know about you? I sleep hanging upside down in my closet.
What makes you a Rebel? trespassing.
Likes: sunshine, pastries, dress-up parties.
Dislikes: luke warm beverages, mornings, fire ants.
Guilty pleasures: frozen snickers, fancy coffee, dancing like a fool.
