Roller derby name and number: Krispy Kreme-Her #0

Roller derby position – on the track (and why): Jamming has always been my passion, but recently, I have acquired a new love for blocking.  I’ll pretty much do anything that my team needs me to do!

Roller derby position – off the track (and why): Skater Rep, member of the Training Committee. I love representing my fellow derby ladies as well as getting to contribute to the development of new strategies and training for our team. It’s super exciting…we just keep getting better!

How long have you been playing roller derby for GRR? I played for a short amount of time in 2009, but was out of commission for a while due to a knee injury. I’ve been back in action since August 2010!

How did you come up with your name and number? The name just popped into my head one day and I thought it was genius. When I realized I could be # 0 and have it represent a donut, that was it. Sold.

Do you have any pre- or post-bout rituals? Pre-bout I like to get real hydrated and slam down some protein & a nanner. Some Lil Wayne and/or Jay-Z, for sure. Post-bout, a beer and usually some mediocre bar food. A Payday doesn’t hurt either.

What is your favorite thing about playing roller derby for GRR? Well, I get to skate with the most badass ladies I know 3 to 4 times per week. That’s pretty cool.

What is your most memorable GRR roller derby experience? Hands down our Alabama after after party. Tooo many amazing things to mention.

If you had a theme song, what would it be? Don’t Stop Me Now – Queen. You can’t not dance like a maniac to that song. It’s amazing.

Aside from roller derby, what are you passionate about? I looove being outside – gardening, camping, and anything water-related. I also like to rock climb, it’s super addictive.

What makes you a Rebel? I throw pennies away.

Likes: Coffee, acai berry emergen-C, drive-thru car washes, soy milk.

Dislikes: Pennies, not having a/c in my truck, P Diddy. Oh god and blisters. I hate them!

Guilty pleasures: Sugary cereals, ranch dressing, cold showers. Don’t worry, not all together.
