What are you made of? Find out — join the Gainesville Roller Rebels for Derby 101 on Saturday, June 22 from 10am – 1pm at the Alachua County Fairgrounds (3100 NE 39th Ave, Gainesville, Fl).

This is a perfect, low-pressure opportunity to see if derby is something you’d enjoy, whether it’s as a future skater or a referee. We will introduce you to the game and our team, as well as cover some basic skating skills. NO PRIOR SKATING EXPERIENCE NEEDED. Seriously!

Folks of all genders are welcome to participate! While our competitive skating team is limited to women, gender-expansive and gender non-conforming people, we are also always looking to train referees of all genders, as our sport literally could not exist without them!

What do you need?
-Yourself
-Comfortable workout clothes
-Sneakers
-A water bottle
-***A mouthguard*** Don’t forget this, as we cannot allow you to skate without it. You can find a cheap mouthguard at a sporting goods store or Walmart.

We’ll provide all the other gear you need to get rolling! Arrive at 10 a.m. to get fitted for gear. You must be at least 18 years old in order to participate.*

To register, sign up at https://forms.gle/jX75MZNeV5KvzC527

The cost for this session is $20, or $10 if you have your own gear. You can pay via cash or card at the event, or you can send your payment in advance via PayPal to [email protected] (please note your name and the event and select “Friends and Family” when paying).

After 101, join us at our Blaze Pizza Fundraiser!
